Evan Hilton, an undergraduate student at the University of Utah, was awarded by the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP) for the research project “Explore Reinforcement Learning for the Optical Alignment of the Prototype Schwarzschild-Couder Telescope”.
Evan is pursuing an interdisciplinary program spanning computational physics, astronomy, applied mathematics, and computer science, with particular interest in computational and data-intensive astrophysics.
